Barbara Kelley - Vice President

Barbara Kelley has been a homeowner in Tanglewilde since 7/98. Prior to buying her home in Tanglewilde, Barbara owned a townhouse in Westchase on the same street she currently lives on. All told, Barbara has lived “in the neighborhood” since ’84.

Tanglewilde is the ideal neighborhood for Barbara as it is only five miles to her office in the Galleria, offers easy access to virtually any freeway/tollroad in the city, features just about every well-known restaurant within a 15 minute drive, is equi-distance from Memorial City and the Galleria and, on a good day, is less than 30 minutes from the Medical Center! Barbara is currently involved in the Tanglewilde/Westmont Neighborhood Traffic Study, HPD’s “Positive Interaction Program,” Tanglewilde’s “Citizen’s On Patrol,” the Tanglewilde/Westmont joint “National Night Out” and generally gets roped into Tanglewilde’s “Fourth of July” festivities. Barbara moved to Houston from Venezuela when she was four years old. With the exception of those four years, two years in Austin and two years in Dallas, Houston has been home. Barbara graduated from Spring Woods High School (just north on Gessner in the Spring Branch district), attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated from the University of Houston. She has been in the broadcasting industry for over 30 years. Barbara can usually been seen walking her dogs through the neighborhood every morning and every evening.
